What does it mean to be proud of one’s culture?

There are a lot of people who are ashamed of their own culture, of their own kind. It’s a pity isn’t it?
I wonder what about those who fly across the globe just to study and learn of other people’s cultures. In particular, those who are interested in your culture.

Some would consider that a huge waste of time.

Well, let’s hope you’re not one of them!
If you are, hold that thought and try talking to people who actually go out of their way simply to learn and know the different cultures around the world.

Afterall, let’s remember:

To have a past that resonates with awe and wonder, a sense of belonging and a vision for the future.. is what it means to be proud of one’s culture.

A sense of belonging

This is to be proud of one’s culture.”

  1. Love this. My parents and I have talks about this topic almost everyday. It annoys us so much when people from Shillong just completely stop speaking khasi just because they’re outside.
